I am 31 years old and have always dreamed about owning a Harley one day. I have been married to a great and very understanding lady for almost 5 years and have a 4 year old boy that will definitely be a future biker! Everyone was very shocked that my wife wanted to see this project through as much as me-or almost as much. But she was there, as well as my son, every step of the way, through the cursing and things flying out of the garage, helping and giving me support. A trip to Myrtle Beach Bike Week in May, 2000 started it all and I got my sights set on building a bike instead of buying one, just to see if I could do it. I really had no idea what I was doing to begin with, but I did a lot of research and asked a lot of questions and learned quickly how to modify parts to make them fit correctly and look customized. Stein at Canyon Run helped me out a lot with my questions and problems and gave me some great deals on parts of all kind for my project. I assembled the entire bike to make sure the entire drive train lined up and then tore it back down to be painted. Tim Bowick did the black epoxy primer and the base and clear coats. He is a fleet painter for the construction company I work for and he did an awesome job! This paint job is something he is definitely proud of and damn well should be! My brother, Mark, did the entire wiring, which was kept as minimal as possible. He also helped with any mechanical questions and with the initial startup and fine tuning of the carb. Without both of them and their expertise, I would not have been able to finish this project. And on October 19, 2001, "SEDUCTION" was born and turned loose on the streets of Goose Creek, SC.Now my dream is to build custom V-twins as more than just a hobby. My brother Mark and myself have started putting the word out that anyone wanting a true custom bike can get one at a reasonable price and can have what they want from the beginning instead of settling for a bike that they will want to change a bunch of stuff out on right away. So in light of that, C & C CYCLES has been born and we invite anyone interested in having a one of a kind custom built for them to give us a call and check us out. |
